St Valentine's Day

"The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white Host."
~ Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

How true that is!!  Where would we be without Our Lord?  How blessed we are to have the ultimate gift given to each of us in the gift of the Eucharist.  May we each center our lives around Jesus and keep our focus always on him.

How blessed we are to have so many reasons as Catholics to celebrate and St. Valentine's Day is one of those days.  Here's some of our fun from this year's celebration....

A special feast day

Last week on October 1st, our sweet Rose celebrated her feast/name day - the feast of St. Therese of Lisieux.  She loves her saint and knows how blessed she is to be named after someone so special.  Her daddy even delivered ROSES to help shower her with her God's love.

This is a gift from my Little Flowers group from a couple years ago.  Always such a beautiful reminder of EACH one of us having a special purpose in life and no matter what we do - however big or how small - it all works out perfectly according to God's plan.

“I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would no longer be enamelled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, Our lord's living garden.”
~St. Therese of Lisieux
