8 is GREAT!!

We have a birthday today!!  An almost Christmas birthday - just four days away.  He's our little miracle baby ~ my scariest c-section yet.  Thanks be to God for his birth and these blessed 8 years with him!! 

In celebrating his 8th birthday, we wanted to share 8 things we love about him...

#1 ~ That he plays legos with me.  

#2 ~ He is so compassionate and caring.  

#3 ~ He plays with me and makes me giggle.  

#4 ~ He plays games with me 

#5 ~ He’s nice to me 

#6 ~ He’s a mischievous little angel 

#7 ~ He’s a mini-me

#8 ~ His creativeness with legos and how he's a little tinkerer and engineer   

And now a look back at this last year with our sweet Pookey...

Welcome, Jesus!!

Our Pookey received his Second Holy Communion yesterday and his First Holy Communion the week before.  All in the midst of my recovery from my surgeries and a 5 day stretch of fever after the surgeries.  We had to cancel his party at our house afterwards, but the most important part was the Sacrament and him receiving Jesus for the first time.  He was so sweet and reverent and did a great job with all his preparation this year.  We are super proud of him and love him so much.  And what a blessing Our Lord gets to reside in him whenever he receives Him in Holy Mass now!!  It's such a turning point in our faith and a huge step in our kids' lives where they seem to grow up overnight.

Jesus, come to us.

7 Things We Love About You, Pookey!!!

Our sweet Pookey turned 7 right before Christmas, but with all the hustle and bustle, I'm finally getting around to write this post.  So without further ado, here's what we love about you, Pookey!!!!

#1 ~  Your cute dimples

#2 ~ How you are always willing to jump and help and even will ask, "Mommy, can I do something to help you?"

#3 ~ You like to play with me.

#4 ~ Your cute little brown/hazel eyes and blonde hair

#5 ~ You are a mini me

#6 ~ You are one of the puzzle wizards in our house.

#7 ~ You are so FUN to be with and a FUNNY little guy!!

Feast of St Luke - 2016

We have a Feast/Nameday today in our house!!

This sweet little guy gotta take the day off school and play all day.  Tonight for dessert, we even had little paint palettes, since St. Luke was not only a Gospel writer but also a painter.  He is said to have painted an image of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
